Although knowing what it takes to hit your target is important, possibly most beneficial is knowing why you miss. When you apply the fundamentals of marksmanship: sight alignment and sight picture, trigger management, grip, and follow-through, you will make your hits. But what should you do if you start missing?

Here is where we can help as well. Sessions are scheduled in one-hour increments with an NRA certified firearms instructor. If you are a novice/beginning shooter, it is recommended that you participate in our private shooting lessons in order to gain familiarity and experience with your handgun. If you are experienced and would prefer private training sessions in order to hone your skills, these sessions will benefit you as well. It is highly recommended that you undertake this training on a regular basis to maintain your skills.

You will learn shooting basics such as:

  • Left eye/right eye dominance
  • Proper shooting stance
  • Proper grip
  • Sight picture
  • Sight alignment
  • Trigger control
  • Breathing control
  • Following through

Additional areas of training such as:

  • Conducting a daily safety check on your handgun and ammunition
  • Safe handling of semi-automatic handgun malfunctions
  • Tactical reloading
  • Strong hand/weak hand shooting
  • Shooting from cover
  • Other areas of training needed/desired as determined by the instructor/student

Advanced Lessons:

  • multiple targets
  • shooting on the move
  • shooting from retention
  • instinctive point shooting
  • sport shooting (IDPA and USPSA)

Prerequisite for advanced class – Completion of Basic Firearms Safety class (or equivalent) or current Florida Concealed Carry License AND demonstrated proficiency with firearms.

All live-fire exercise conducted at a local shooting ranges with an NRA certified firearms instructor.

The cost of this training is $100.00 for the first hour, $150 for 2 hours, and $200 for 3 hours or $400 per half of day for up to two students (plus range fees).

One-on-one training sessions are available in one-hour increments.
